Every year, on the night of October 31st, people around the world carve pumpkins, dress up in strange costumes, and fill the streets with laughter, scary decorations, and lots (and lots!) of candy. That’s right — it’s Halloween! But where does this mysterious celebration come from? And what can it teach us about language? Let’s dig in (with a witch’s broom, of course).
